The trio tears through a set of mostly Cardello originals — some at start-and-stop breakneck speed, others more contemplative — capped by a virtuosic solo-piano reading of Thelonious Monk's "Ask Me Now" exclusive to this vinyl edition. A Herbie Hancock International Piano Competition honoree and BMI Future Jazz Master, Cardello announces himself as a major new voice.
