Recorded live at the Antibes Jazz Festival in Juan-les-Pins, France on 13 July 1960, this set captures Charles Mingus's Jazz Workshop at full power, with Eric Dolphy, Booker Ervin, Ted Curson and Dannie Richmond. Legendary pianist Bud Powell, then living in France, joins as a special guest for "I'll Remember April." Taped by the ORTF and later released by Atlantic, it remains a rare and vital document of Mingus on stage.
