Caravanserai (1972) marks Santana's bold turn from radio-friendly Latin rock toward spiritual, jazz-fusion exploration — a flowing, largely instrumental suite. For the first time in the world it appears as an SA-CD Multi Hybrid edition: the 4-channel layer is remastered from the original Quadraphonic LP master, while the stereo and CD layers come from the SACD stereo hi-res master, housed in a 7-inch mini-LP replica of the Japanese Quadraphonic jacket.
