Hardcore Vol. 2 documents Devo's beginnings as pre-punk outcasts in the fertile Akron, Ohio underground rock scene. Recorded on 4-track machines in tiny studios, basements, and garages between 1974 and 1977, it reveals the band's strikingly clear vision of "devolved blues" — transmissions that would soon catch the ear of Brian Eno. This 2LP set includes the caveman hit "Be Stiff," the surf-blues "Clockout," and four previously unreleased tracks.
