Recorded in October 1958 at the Olympia in Paris, this set captures the Donald Byrd Quintet at the peak of a triumphant European tour, with Bobby Jaspar on flute and tenor, Walter Davis Jr. on piano, Doug Watkins on bass and Art Taylor on drums. Reissued by Sam Records under licence from Universal, it is remastered from the original master tapes with faithfully reproduced artwork.
