Eric Dolphy - Out There - Analogue Productions LP
$39.99
180-Gram Vinyl, Mastered from the Original Analog Tapes by Kevin Gray
Recorded in 1960, Out There captures multi-instrumentalist Eric Dolphy — on alto saxophone, bass clarinet, flute, and clarinet — leading an unusual pianoless group built around Ron Carter's cello, with George Duvivier on bass and Roy Haynes on drums. For Dolphy, the new music of the era was simply a logical extension of the jazz tradition, and his speech-like improvisations soar over the impeccable, responsive accompaniment. This Analogue Productions reissue was cut from the original analog master tapes by Kevin Gray and pressed at Quality Record Pressings.
