Alagbon Close was the first of Fela's albums to feature sleeve art by Ghariokwu Lemi, whose work soon became an integral part of Afrobeat's message. Named after the headquarters of the Nigerian Criminal Investigation Department in Lagos, the title track calls out the police's violence, arrogance and apparent immunity from prosecution.
