Foo Fighters' seventh album, Wasting Light, was produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Alan Moulder, and recorded entirely on analog tape in the garage of Dave Grohl's California home. It marked the band's first full-length effort with Vig, who first worked with Grohl on Nirvana's Nevermind. Nirvana's Krist Novoselic contributes bass and accordion to "I Should Have Known," while former touring guitarist Pat Smear rejoins the core lineup of Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel and Chris Shiflett.
