Originally released in 1979, Sheik Yerbouti was the first album issued on Zappa Records and remains Frank Zappa's biggest-selling release worldwide, with over two million copies sold. Drawn largely from 1977-78 live recordings with extensive studio overdubs, it leans harder into Zappa's comedic side and contains the FM favorites "Dancin' Fool" and "Bobby Brown Goes Down." The title is a play on words, riffing on KC and the Sunshine Band's "Shake Your Booty."
