Genesis is the twelfth studio album by the English rock band, released on 3 October 1983 and the first written, recorded, and mixed entirely at their own studio, The Farm. Its title reflects the fact that every track was written collectively by the group. A major commercial success, the album reached #1 in the UK and #9 in the US, selling over four million copies, and spun off five singles including the band's UK #4 hit "Mama." This deluxe edition features the 2008 Nick Davis mix, half-speed mastered on 180g audiophile vinyl.
