2LP, 50th Anniversary Edition, Newly Mixed

On October 1, 1969, James Brown and his celebrated 1960s band recorded a homecoming show at the Bell Auditorium in Augusta, GA, intended as the album Live at Home With His Bad Self. The project was shelved when the band broke up and Brown pivoted to "Sex Machine" with a new lineup. Now, on its 50th anniversary, the complete show arrives newly mixed with seven previously unreleased performances. The package includes an essay by former James Brown tour manager and Grammy-winning producer Alan Leeds.
