Discovered by Shelby Singleton, Jeannie C. Riley rose to fame recording Tom T. Hall's "Harper Valley P.T.A." Cut live in two takes, the track shot to #1 on both the Country and Pop charts in 1968, making Riley the first woman to hold the top spot on both simultaneously. Remastered in mono from the original tapes.
