An accidental wedding singer ever since his 2004 song "If You Ever Need a Stranger (To Sing at Your Wedding)," Jens Lekman co-conceived this album alongside a novel-with-music written with David Levithan. As the book came together, Lekman began imagining what happened between its chapters, and the two became intertwined while still finding their own paths. The result is an exploration of what we sing about when we sing about love -- a lovesong to lovesongs.
