One of the premier architects of the early-'70s singer/songwriter movement, Jim Croce wove storytelling, humor, and heartfelt emotion into some of the most memorable songs ever recorded. Released in 1973, I Got A Name was his final album before the plane crash that took his life, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and earning Gold certification. It includes the hits "I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song" and the title track, which served as the theme for the film The Last American Hero.
