Freedom is Journey's fifteenth studio album and, at an eleven-year gap from 2011's Eclipse, the longest stretch between two Journey albums to date. It is the only Journey album to feature drummer and producer Narada Michael Walden, and the first to feature bassist Randy Jackson since 1986's Raised on Radio.
