180g Vinyl LP — Blue Note Tone Poet Audiophile Reissue Series
1969's Mother Ship was the final Blue Note album by visionary organist Larry Young, capping a remarkable run that redefined the sonic possibilities of the Hammond B3. The set bristles with kinetic energy and soulful grooves, featuring Lee Morgan on trumpet, Herbert Morgan on tenor saxophone and Eddie Gladden on drums across a program of Young originals. This stereo Tone Poet edition was mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI.
