Recorded in June 1955 at the Atlantic studio, this classic date pairs alto saxophonist Lee Konitz and tenorist Warne Marsh — both disciples of Lennie Tristano — over a dream rhythm section of Billy Bauer, Sal Mosca (or Ronnie Ball), Oscar Pettiford and Kenny Clarke. Their cool, airy tone and long, intricately woven lines reward close listening. This Speakers Corner edition was remastered using pure analogue components only, from the master tapes through to the cutting head.
