Los Angeles band Los Lobos have always drawn on their surroundings, blending rock and roll, Tex-Mex, country, zydeco, folk, R&B, brown-eyed soul and traditional cumbias, boleros and norteños. On Native Sons they pay tribute to the songs of their home city, putting their own stamp on 13 tracks from L.A. greats like Buffalo Springfield, WAR, Jackson Browne and the Beach Boys, plus deep cuts from the Jaguars, The Blasters and The Premiers. The title track is the album's sole original composition.
