Milestones is a 1958 studio album by American jazz trumpeter and composer Miles Davis, originally released by Columbia Records. It marks one of Davis' first forays into modal jazz, an approach he would expand on the following year with Kind of Blue. The album also features the celebrated sextet with John Coltrane and Cannonball Adderley, and the final recorded appearance of the rhythm section of Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones with Davis.
