Miles Davis's first live electric-band release since 1977's Dark Magus, We Want Miles captures performances from his triumphant 1981 return to the stage, including shows at Boston's Kix Club. The double album reimagines material from The Man with the Horn, revisits the Gil Evans-era "My Man's Gone Now" from Porgy and Bess, and closes with a dedication to the Boston venue. The band features Marcus Miller on bass, Mike Stern on guitar, Bill Evans on saxophone, Mino Cinelu on percussion, and Al Foster on drums, produced by longtime Miles collaborator Teo Macero.
