Phases is a 19-track double album from Moonchild Sanelly, South Africa's "Queen of Gqom," whose collaborators include Beyoncé, Gorillaz, and Wizkid. Veering between amapiano, gqom, grime, pop, house, and R&B, the record charts the chapters of a toxic relationship and the freedom that follows — the first half journeying through the relationship, the second moving into a clubbier amapiano space.
