Mort Garson - Mother Earth's Plantasia - LP
$22.99
Black Vinyl
Subtitled "warm earth music for plants...and the people that love them," Mort Garson's 1976 cult classic was recorded especially for plants — bucolic, charming, decidedly unscientific tunes performed on the Moog synthesizer. A Juilliard-educated arranger turned electronic pioneer, Garson made discreet, melodic music years before ambient had a name, and Plantasia has since found a whole new audience as one of the most beloved early Moog records. Few figures in early electronic music were both fearless pioneers and cheesy trend-chasers; Garson embraced both, and Plantasia is simply full of good tunes.
