Nagaoka - JN-P300 Replacement Stylus for MP-300

The genuine Nagaoka replacement stylus for the MP-300 and MP-300H — nude elliptical diamond on a boron cantilever, tracking at 1.3 to 1.8 g.

The MP series is built so that the part which wears is the part you replace. The JN-P300 is not simply a diamond: the assembly carries the stylus, the cantilever and the suspension components, which between them do most of the work of following the groove.

Both of the things that make the MP-300 track as lightly as it does are in this assembly — the boron cantilever and the suspension compliance that allows a 1.3 to 1.8 g window. A generic replacement changes both, and the cartridge that comes out the other side is not the one Nagaoka specified.

It pushes on and pulls off by hand, with no realignment and nothing disturbed in your overhang or azimuth.
