uNomkhubulwane is the 2024 album from South African pianist, composer, and healer Nduduzo Makhathini, his third release for Blue Note Records. Conceived as a transcendent three-movement suite paying homage to the Zulu goddess uNomkhubulwane, the music is performed by Makhathini's trio with bassist Zwelakhe-Duma Bell le Pere and drummer Francisco Mela. It stands as both an offering and an invitation to cultivate ways of being that strive for freedom and balance.
