Taking Over, originally released in March 1987, is the second studio album by New Jersey thrash metal legends Overkill. It was the band's first release through Atlantic and the last to feature original drummer Rat Skates. Driven by Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth's snarling vocals and D.D. Verni's churning bass, it's an early-era thrash essential featuring "In Union We Stand," "Wrecking Crew" and "Electro-Violence."
