Wings at the Speed of Sound is the fifth studio album by Wings, released on 25 March 1976 as the follow-up to Venus and Mars. Issued at the height of the band's popularity, it reached #1 on the US album chart and #2 in the UK, with "Silly Love Songs" topping the US singles chart. Recorded amid the band's hugely successful Wings Over the World tour, and partly in answer to critics who saw the group as merely a vehicle for Paul McCartney, the album features every member taking a lead vocal on at least one song.
