This 30th Anniversary Edition pairs the Pixies' 1987 debut mini-album Come On Pilgrim with their 1988 debut album Surfer Rosa, and adds the bonus 1986 radio concert Live From The Fallout Shelter. Surfer Rosa, produced by Steve Albini, is widely regarded as a masterpiece and a foundational influence on the alternative and grunge rock that followed. Together these formative recordings capture four Boston oddballs blending underground thrash, surf pop, and Spanish-language flourishes into something entirely their own.
