Today's Active Lifestyles, the second full-length from North Carolina's Polvo, expanded on the band's debut with twisted song structures, unorthodox guitar tunings, and Middle Eastern-tinged melodies. Produced by Bob Weston (Shellac) over four days in December 1992 and released on Merge Records in April 1993, it's now regarded as a landmark of '90s math rock — from the whizzing crunch of "Thermal Treasure" to the seven-minute blowouts "Stinger (Five Wigs)" and closer "Gemini Cusp."
