Anthony Williams - Life Time - Tone Poet LP
$38.99
180g Vinyl LP, Blue Note Tone Poet Audiophile Reissue
Recorded in August 1964 when he was just 18, Life Time is the adventurous debut of drummer-composer Tony Williams, already a member of the Miles Davis Quintet. Side one presents the expansive two-movement suite "Two Pieces of One" with Sam Rivers, Gary Peacock, and Richard Davis; side two ranges from the jaunty "Tomorrow Afternoon" to the freely improvised "Memory" featuring Herbie Hancock and Bobby Hutcherson, closing with the Hancock–Ron Carter duet "Barb's Song to the Wizard."
