Personnel troubles kept Bruce Palmer and Neil Young in and out of the band during its making, so Buffalo Springfield's second album is less unified than the debut — and better for it. Stephen Stills contributed the folk-rock peaks "Bluebird" and "Rock & Roll Woman" plus the jazz-flavored "Everydays," while Young answered with the Stones-derived "Mr. Soul" and the lush, surrealistic "Expecting to Fly" and "Broken Arrow." Richie Furay's "A Child's Claim to Fame," with James Burton's dobro hooks, points straight at the country-rock of Poco.

The album reached No. 44 on the Billboard Top LPs chart and sits at No. 188 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. This SACD plays in all CD and SACD players.
