Charlie Hunter's 1995 Blue Note debut, Bing, Bing, Bing!, was a groove-heavy tour-de-force that announced a virtuosic new guitarist. Hunter's unique 8-string concept let him lay down a bass line, chords and a melodic line all at once, backed by his powerful trio of tenor saxophonist Dave Ellis and drummer Jay Lane. The 10-song set ranges from propulsive originals to an unforgettable cover of Nirvana's "Come As You Are." This all-analog edition was mastered by Kevin Gray from the original master tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl at Optimal.
