Swimming by Moonlight is a new Chet Baker album drawn from previously unreleased material recorded near the end of his life. From 1986–1987, Baker traveled and worked with photographer and filmmaker Bruce Weber on the project that became their Oscar-nominated documentary Let's Get Lost (1988), performing in Cannes and recording at Studio Davout in Paris and Sage and Sound Studio in Hollywood. Curated by Bruce Weber and produced by Chet collaborator John Leftwich, this two-record set compiles music, dialogue, and live concert recordings long kept in Weber's archive, licensed and released by Slow Down Sounds.
