This album and its anthems that built rock — "Johnny B. Goode," "Roll Over Beethoven" — was a starter kit for everything that came after. The riffs? Every garage band you've ever heard learned them here. The attitude? Let's just say Elvis may have swiveled his hips but Chuck wrote the manual.
