A beautiful pairing of two legendary pianists — Count Basie and Oscar Peterson — heard late in Basie's career, in a setting that lets both open up nicely (Basie also plays a bit of organ). Basie's longtime guitarist Freddie Green, who stayed with him for 50 years, is unmistakable throughout this ten-track stereo set. This Analogue Productions reissue was mastered by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab from the original analog master tape, pressed at Quality Record Pressings, and housed in a gatefold Stoughton Printing tip-on jacket.
