Breathe captures Hammond B-3 organ legend Dr. Lonnie Smith during his 75th birthday run at the Jazz Standard in NYC in 2017, leading an expanded line-up with Jonathan Kreisberg (guitar), Johnathan Blake (drums), John Ellis (tenor sax), Jason Marshall (baritone sax), Sean Jones (trumpet) and Robin Eubanks (trombone). Two studio tracks bookend the album, presenting a unique collaboration with Iggy Pop, including a cover of Donovan’s "Sunshine Superman." Produced by Blue Note president Don Was.
