Revival: Live at Pookie's Pub is a thrilling, previously unissued live recording that captures drummer Elvin Jones' emergence as a bandleader at a little-known New York club where he held a weekly residency after leaving John Coltrane's band in 1966. Recorded July 28-30, 1967, just two weeks after Coltrane's death, it features Joe Farrell on tenor saxophone, Billy Greene on piano and Wilbur Little on bass stretching out on standards and originals. Issued as a deluxe 180g 3LP set with an extensive booklet.
