Released in November 1971, Nursery Cryme was the first Genesis album to feature drummer/vocalist Phil Collins and guitarist Steve Hackett, marking a pivotal step in the band's progressive rock evolution. It opens with the macabre Victorian fairy tale "The Musical Box" and ranges through intricate, whimsical pieces like "The Return of the Giant Hogweed" and "The Fountain of Salmacis." This Analogue Productions hybrid SACD was mastered directly to DSD from the original master tape by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering and plays in all CD and SACD players.
