Pianist Junior Mance, a veteran of dates with Dinah Washington and Cannonball Adderley, was offered his own recording session by Norman Granz while working with Dizzy Gillespie. The result is this 1959 debut album, a bluesy and swinging set with Gillespie's drummer Lex Humphries and bassist Ray Brown. Highlights include the original "Jubilation" and Cole Porter's "Love for Sale."
