Kenny Burrell's self-titled second Blue Note album, released as part of the label's fabled 1500 series, is famous for its Andy Warhol cover illustration — and for the striking music drawn from four different 1956 sessions. The great guitarist is featured in a variety of configurations alongside players including Tommy Flanagan, Paul Chambers, Kenny Clarke, Oscar Pettiford and Frank Foster. Part of Blue Note's acclaimed Tone Poet Series, mastered from the original analog tapes by Kevin Gray and pressed at RTI in a deluxe Stoughton gatefold tip-on jacket.
