Remastered and expanded with bonus tracks.
Mad Season was the Seattle supergroup of Layne Staley (Alice in Chains), Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees) and John Baker Saunders, and Above, originally released in 1995, was their lone full-length. This edition restores the original 1995 packaging, from the cover and inside gatefold to the back photo and center labels. The audio has been newly mastered for vinyl with lacquers cut by Levi Seitz, and the original ten tracks are joined by three songs featuring Mark Lanegan on vocals and the band's cover of John Lennon's "I Don't Wanna Be a Soldier" sung by Layne Staley.
