Double Vinyl, Widespine Jacket with Printed Inner Sleeves
Fronted by Ian Astbury on vocals and Billy Duffy on guitar, The Cult cemented themselves as one of the great rock bands following their start in 1983. 1994 brought their self-titled sixth album—sometimes called the "Black Sheep" album for its cover—a very personal record produced by Bob Rock, with much of its narrative drawn from Astbury's younger years. Unlike previous albums, it reveals itself more slowly with each listen, and is widely considered an overlooked and underrated gem.
