Buena Vista Social Club is the landmark album recorded in just seven days in 1996 at Havana's vintage EGREM studios. Produced by Ry Cooder for World Circuit, it became a worldwide phenomenon, winning a 1997 Grammy and elevating veteran Cuban artists such as Ibrahim Ferrer, Rubén González and Omara Portuondo to superstar status. This 25th Anniversary edition returns to the original tapes for newly remastered audio by Bernie Grundman and adds previously unheard tracks from the 1996 sessions.
