Released in 1994 with cover art depicting Prince before a cemetery gate and the years "1958-1993" scrawled beneath his birth name, Come marked the end of one era and the dawn of another. It was the final album issued under the name "Prince" until 2001's The Rainbow Children, a dark, funk-driven, experimental statement from an artist on the cusp of reinvention.
