Vinyl LP · Blue Note 75th Anniversary Reissue
Vinyl reissue of this 1963 debut from the jazz vocalist, part of Blue Note's 75th Anniversary series. In the 1963 Down Beat Critics Poll, Sheila Jordan ranked first among vocalists deserving wider recognition. Alfred Lion signed her after hearing her sing at the Page Three Club in Greenwich Village—a rarity for a label that had not previously recorded jazz vocalists. She is accompanied by Barry Galbraith (guitar), Steve Swallow (bass) and Denzil Best (drums).
