Stan Getz & Joao Gilberto - Getz/Gilberto - Analogue Productions SACD
Hybrid Stereo SACD — Mastered by George Marino at Sterling Sound from the Original Master Tapes
Recorded in 1963, Getz/Gilberto is the defining album of the bossa nova genre. Following the success of Jazz Samba, Stan Getz joined João and Astrud Gilberto and the legendary Antonio Carlos Jobim for a session that produced "The Girl from Ipanema," one of the most beloved hit singles jazz has ever known. For this Analogue Productions reissue the album was mastered from the original master tapes as it was originally mixed — correcting the reversed channels that had affected nearly every prior version, including the original. This Hybrid Stereo SACD plays in both CD and SACD players.
