A celestial journey is exactly what Sun Ra and his Arkestra created with Space Is The Place — a trip through outer-bound melodies, planetary bodies, eras in time and space caravans. This deluxe package collects the original music composed for the 1972 film (first released as a soundtrack in 1993) plus The Mathematics Of The Altered Destiny, a previously unissued album recorded in the same sessions and released here a half-century later. Audio was sourced from the Sun Ra tape vault and digitally restored, and the Blu-ray contains the entire film, sourced from the Rapid Eye Movies restoration.
