Growing out of the success of their early EPs and singles, The 1975's self-titled debut shot to No. 1 on the U.K. charts in 2013, blending 1980s pop and a dash of '90s R&B with a modern edge. The Manchester band took their name from an inscription in an old book of beat poetry.
