Morrison Hotel is the fifth studio album by the Doors, released by Elektra in 1970. After the more experimental The Soft Parade, the band returned to a tougher, blues-rooted sound — a direction they would fully explore on the following year's L.A. Woman. Side one is titled "Hard Rock Cafe" and side two "Morrison Hotel," and the album opens with the enduring "Roadhouse Blues."
