The Doors - The Soft Parade - Analogue Productions SACD
Hybrid Multichannel SACD — Mastered by Doug Sax, Overseen by Doors Producer/Engineer Bruce Botnick
Released in 1969, The Soft Parade was The Doors' fourth album and their most ambitious to date, expanding the band's sound with horn and string arrangements. Half its songs were written by Jim Morrison and half by guitarist Robby Krieger, including the lush "Touch Me," which reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the band's third American chart-topper. Part of Analogue Productions' Doors reissue series, this Hybrid Multichannel SACD presents surround mixes Bruce Botnick created from the original one-inch, eight-track analog master tapes, up-sampled to DSD and authored at the Super Audio Center. It plays in both CD and SACD players.
