The Grateful Dead - Dicks Picks Vol. 19 10/ 19/ 73 Oklahoma City Fairgrounds Arena Oklahoma City, OK - LP Box Set
Limited, Hand-Numbered 180-Gram 6-LP Box Set
Dick's Picks Volume 19 captures the complete concert recorded October 19, 1973 at the Fairgrounds Arena in Oklahoma City—the opening night of the Dead's fall Midwest tour, recorded just days after the release of Wake of the Flood. The band sounds invigorated with a wealth of fresh material, highlighted by stellar renditions of "Stella Blue" and "Eyes of the World" and sidelong improvisational journeys through "Playing in the Band" and "Dark Star" (leading into a dazzling "Mind Left Body Jam" and a stirring "Morning Dew"). Mastered for vinyl from the original tapes by Jeffrey Norman, pressed on 180-gram black vinyl, and housed in a hand-numbered two-piece hardshell box.
